A small introduction
The Collective Drawing project is a experimental research into the collective creative process between the visual and physical worlds in the visual domain. By using the connectivity between people massive collaboration is possible between heterogeneous groups that can lead to new and unexpected results.
On this website everyone can work together on a shared visual design. When you go to the homepage, you will see the application which you can use to create a design together with all the other visitors at this moment. You can easily put a circle on or off. When you put a circle on, the display in the physical world will also change. The people who are working with the physical installation can directly interact with you by pushing on buttons to put lights on and off. All actions in both the virtual and physical part of the installation are updated simultaniously to support realtime collaboration.
At the upper right corner of the flash application, you can see a square where realtime video images are shown. Though because of bandwidth limitations this videostream won't be running all the time.
